Creating Tiny Workers-Style Videos by Using Sora

Guidebook Hero Image

Introduction

The “Tiny Workers” trend features AI-generated miniature people doing tasks on oversized objects — like cleaning keyboards or fixing phones. These clips are going viral for their creativity and charm.
In the last 30 days alone, TikTok and Instagram have seen a 500% surge in engagement on these mini-worker videos, with some creators hitting over 10 million views overnight. This guide will walk you through creating your own Tiny Workers-style video using three primary tools: Sora, Kling AI, and CapCut.

TOOLS OVERVIEW

    SORA

An AI image generator for creating the initial scene images

    Link: Sora web

    KLING AI

An AI text-to-video tool for animating a short video clip with subtle motion

    CAPCUT

A free video editing application for assembling all the animated clips

By the end of this guide, you will have a complete Tiny Workers video – from generating vivid scenes with Sora, to animating those scenes (with sound) in Kling AI, and finally editing everything together with CapCut.

1. Creating Image With Sora

In this step, we’ll use Sora to create key visuals for the Tiny Workers video. The goal is to generate high-quality, eye-catching images of tiny characters working on everyday objects.

We’ll follow a proven prompt framework to keep the scene clear, detailed, and visually coherent.

PROMPT FRAMEWORK

Copy

Main object or scene + Tiny workers with actions + Tools and activities + Background and colors + Mood and style

Using this framework ensures your prompt covers all aspects of the scene: what it is, who’s in it, what’s happening, and the look and feel of the image. Being specific and visual in your prompt is crucial — clearly describe objects and actions, almost like you’re painting a picture with words.

STEPS TO GENERATE IMAGES IN SORA

Open Sora

Open the image generation interface in Sora → set aspect ratio to 2:3 (Vertical), perfect for Reels, TikTok, or Shorts.

Markdown Image

Craft a Detailed Prompt

Write your text prompt following the framework above. Include all key parts in one flowing sentence: Main scene, Workers & actions, Tools, Background, and Mood/Style.

Generate the Image

Choose a style (or keep default) → click Generate → review the result to see a tiny-character scene interacting with a large object.

EXAMPLE

Copy
Main object or scene: A towering shaved ice mountain
Tiny workers with actions: Tiny climbers, dressed as mountaineers, scale the icy peak using ropes, ladders, and ice picks. One climber reaches the summit and plants a tiny flag.
Tools and activities: Some are mid-ascent, while others set up base camps surrounded by fresh strawberries.
Background, mood and style: The strawberry syrup cascades down like lava, making the climb even more treacherous. The background is a soft pastel mint green, creating a playful, surreal atmosphere with bright and inviting lighting, making the ice and syrup appear mouthwatering

This image successfully translates the prompt into a vivid visual scene. The towering shaved ice mountain is well-defined, and the miniature climbers are clearly visible with appropriate gear such as ropes, ladders, and flags. The background's pastel mint green tone and bright lighting enhance the playful, surreal atmosphere, aligning well with the intended mood.

EXAMPLE

Copy
Main object or scene: On a white plate, a crime scene with a pile of crispy fries and a ketchup stain shaped like a handprint.
Tiny workers with actions: Tiny detectives in trench coats investigate, using magnifying glasses, evidence markers, and cotton swabs.
Tools and activities: A forensics expert collects a sample while a photographer takes pictures with a tiny camera.
Background, mood and style: Yellow crime scene tape is stretched between fries, and soft cinematic lighting casts subtle shadows, adding a mysterious yet humorous atmosphere.

SAVE IMAGES

Markdown Image

Once you’ve generated an image you’re satisfied with, look to the top-right corner of the screen. Click the Download icon (downward arrow) to save the image to your device. This file will be used in the next step for animation, so be sure to store it in an easily accessible location.

2. Animating With Kling AI (And Adding Audio)

After getting rich images from Sora, the next step is to bring them to life.
Use Kling AI to turn static images into short animated clips (about 3–5 seconds long).
The animation adds subtle motion or action, making the scene feel like a tiny video instead of a photo.
In this part, we’ll also use Kling’s AI Sound feature to automatically add sound effects and background music to each clip, enhancing the realism.

Markdown Image

OPEN KLING AI AND START A NEW VIDEO PROJECT

Go to the Kling AI platform and navigate to the video generation section. (In Kling’s interface, there may be a “Video” tab or a menu option for creating videos.)
Select the option for Image-to-Video generation, since we will supply our Sora image as the starting frame.

Markdown Image

UPLOAD YOUR SORA IMAGE

Click the “Upload Image” button and choose the image. Kling AI supports common image formats like JPG or PNG (ensure your file meets any size requirements, e.g. under 10MB).
After uploading, you should see your static scene displayed, ready for animation. For example, if we upload the shaved ice mountain image, that picture will be the basis of the video.

WRITE AN ANIMATION PROMPT

Just like with image generation, Kling AI requires a text prompt to know how to animate the scene. However, the prompt for animation is usually simpler and focused on describing the action or movement happening with the miniature subjects in the scene.

A handy prompt framework for Kling AI is:

Copy

Miniature subjects + the detailed action

Since the object and setting are already shown in the image, we typically don’t need to restate those, but we describe what’s happening in motion.

Tips for writing Kling prompts:

KEEP THEM CONCISE

One or two sentences describing the core action are enough

USE ACTIVE VERBS

“ascend, investigate, repair, paint” to imply movement

EXAMPLE

For the french fries crime scene, an animation prompt might be:

Copy
Miniature subjects: A team of miniature detectives
The detailed action: investigates a crime scene on a plate, analyzing a ketchup ‘bloodstain’ and scattered fries, while forensic experts collect evidence.

This describes the tiny detectives actively investigating – perhaps panning around the scene, with small movements like examining the handprint or taking photos.

Markdown Image

SET ANIMATION LENGTH

When choosing the clip duration, Kling AI offers 5s and 10s options. It's best to pick 5s for the most realistic motion. Choosing 10s may cause unnatural movements and more errors. Shorter clips also generate faster and look cleaner.

Markdown Image

GENERATE THE ANIMATED VIDEO

Click “Generate” to create your video. Kling AI will process your image and prompt, producing a short animated clip within moments.
Preview the result to ensure the movement matches your prompt — such as tiny climbers scaling the ice or detectives inspecting the scene.

Markdown Image

ADD SOUND EFFECTS WITH AI SOUND

To make the scene more immersive, use Kling’s built-in AI Sound feature. Look for a button or option labeled “AI Sound” after your video is generated (often next to the download or playback controls). Click this, and Kling AI will automatically create a soundscape for your clip.

Markdown Image

DOWNLOAD THE VIDEO CLIP

Once you’re satisfied with the animated video and its audio, click “Download” to save the clip to your device.
Make sure you save the version that includes the sound (Kling might allow downloading with or without audio – choose the one with the AI Sound integrated).
Name the file something identifiable like “shaved_ice_clip.mp4” or “fries_scene_clip.mp4”.

Markdown Image

3. Editing And Compiling The Video With Capcut

In the final step, import all of the video clips generated in Kling into CapCut to compile them into a single, continuous video.
To ensure smooth transitions between scenes, navigate to the Transitions panel on the left side of the screen and select the “Mix” effect or a similar blending option. This will help your scenes flow naturally from one to the next.
Once everything is in place and you're happy with the sequence, click Export in the top-right corner of the screen.

COMMON MISTAKES TO AVOID

When creating Tiny Workers-style videos, there are a few common pitfalls to watch out for. Being aware of these will save time and improve your final output:

Vague or Overly Broad Prompts: If you don’t clearly describe what should appear in the image, your prompt won’t give Sora enough information to understand the scene — leading to a poor or inaccurate result. Too many unrelated details can also confuse the AI, so stick to a coherent scenario.

Mistake ❌

Prompt:

"The tiny firefighter is spraying water onto a big cup."

Better version ✅

Prompt:

"Tiny characters climbing a big glass cup using ladders and ropes, playing with water droplets in a cozy kitchen setting."

Forgetting the Aspect Ratio: Not setting the image aspect ratio to vertical (2:3 or similar) in Sora can lead to images that don’t fit well in a vertical video compilation. This might force you to crop or have black bars on the sides later. Always check and set the aspect ratio before generating images.

COMMON MISTAKES TO AVOID

Making Prompt Too Long in Kling: Using overly long prompts in Kling can confuse the AI or prevent it from generating proper motion. Prompts should be short, clear, and focused on one specific action or scene.

Mistake ❌

Prompt:

**“**Tiny firefighters scale a giant glass cup, spraying water playfully as they balance on ladders and hoses, with splashes glistening in warm kitchen light.”

Prompt:

"Tiny characters climbing a big glass cup using ladders and ropes, playing with water droplets in a cozy kitchen setting."

Better version ✅

Violating Community Standards: When writing prompts, users sometimes violate Sora and Kling's community standards. Such violations can result in the failure to generate images or videos.

Mistake ❌

Prompt:

"Create a tiny warrior being stepped on and crushed while trying to defend a pencil fort from a giant human.”

Better version ✅

Prompt:

"Create a tiny warrior bravely standing in front of a pencil fort on a desk, ready to defend it as a giant human foot approaches in the distance."
